Intended learning outcomes

Design and operation of computational models for hydraulic phenomena (unsteady pressure flows, non-uniform steady free surface flows and statistical analysis of flood flows):

  1. Calculation of water level profiles in channels and sewers;
  2. Determination of emptying time of reservoirs and pipelines;
  3. Calculation of pressure surges resulting from valve closure;
  4. Calculation of pressure surges resulting from stopping of pumping stations;
  5. Designing of surge protection devices;
  6. Determination of flood flows based on collected data.
